Robert Holderith

Founder, President
Chief Product Engineer

Robert Holderith, Founder, President and Chief Product Engineer of Green Harvest Asset Management, is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry.

 

Prior to forming Green Harvest, Bob was President and Founder of Emerging Global Advisors, LLC (EGA), the advisor to the EGShares family of ETFs. He was responsible for all aspects of the formation of the firm including initial regulatory filings and registrations, creating its research and portfolio management infrastructure, product development platform, index conception and design, technology infrastructure and sales and marketing. EGShares ETFs gathered over US$1.9 billion in assets in just over five years. EGA, LLC was sold to Columbia Threadneedle Investments in September of 2016. Bob has been implementing, structuring and developing ETFs and related strategies since 1999.

 

Bob was a nationally ranked mountain bike racer and was one of many pioneers of the Olympic sport.

Brian Jacobs, CIMA®

Chief Operating Officer
Head of Distribution

Brian Jacobs, CIMA® is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Distribution at Green Harvest Asset Management and has over 25 years of experience in global investment management.

 

Brian is the former President of Direxion ETFs and the CEO of the Hatteras Alternative Funds. Previously, Brian led distribution organizations at Eaton Vance and Allianz/ PIMCO. His sales teams raised over $200 billion in AUM. Brian is credited with the idea to create the PIMCO Income Fund which is the largest actively-managed mutual fund in the world. He started his career as a Financial Advisor in New York City.

 

Brian completed the Allianz Global Leadership Program at the  International Institute for Management Development (I.M.D.) in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2016, he also completed the FinTech Certificate Program: Future Commerce at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Brian earned a B.A. in Economics from Montclair State University and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation. Brian is the former Chairman of the Board of Governors for Money Management Institute and Board Member of the Foundation for Financial Planning.

 

Brian is also an adjunct faculty member of Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business where he teaches a graduate level course, Disruption in Financial Services.

Solomon Teller, CFA

Chief Investment Officer

Solomon Teller has over 15 years of portfolio management, research and proprietary trading experience with ETFs. He is responsible for overall investment strategy and portfolio management functions at Green Harvest Asset Management. Prior to Green Harvest, Mr. Teller was a trader and portfolio manager where he developed proprietary systematic arbitrage strategies in ETFs and CEFs and volatility structure.  Before that, Mr. Teller was the Head of Investment Analytics at ProShares.  He was responsible for developing research and analytics to drive product development, management and investment strategy and support institutional client relationships.  At ProShares, he pioneered groundbreaking research in Leveraged and Inverse ETFs including effective rebalancing and hedging strategies. Before joining ProShares, he was Senior Portfolio Manager and Financial Planning Manager at two independent asset managers. He also helped develop trading and portfolio management software for Fannie Mae and co-founded Investor Newswire, Inc, a first mover in the online investment news and commentary space.  Mr. Teller has also both served on the board and taught finance and economics at several area schools.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Philosophy from the University of Maryland.  Mr. Teller holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Denise Gallo

Portfolio Manager
Head of Portfolio Operations

Denise Gallo is a Portfolio Manager and Head of Portfolio Operations at Green Harvest Asset Management. She has 25 years of industry experience including the most recent 9 years in portfolio management and trading operations of ETFs. She is responsible for day-to-day management of our separate managed accounts and has primary responsibility for all operational, back office, allocation, post trade compliance and settlement functions at Green Harvest.

 

Prior to joining Green Harveset in 2018, Denise was an Associate Portfolio Manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investment (CTI) where she was  involved with the portfolio management and was one of the portfolio construction subject matter experts for the ETF business. In 2016, CTI acquired Denise’s former firm, Emerging Global Advisors (EGA), which was a $1.9B emerging and frontier market ETF firm.  At EGA, she was part of the Portfolio Management Team and Head of Portfolio Operations. Denise spent the first 15 years of her career as a VP in fixed income marketing at Merrill Lynch.

 

Denise loves the Jersey shore and is the mother of college-age triplets

Thomas Holderith

Thomas Holderith is Senior Analyst at Green Harvest Asset Management. He has over 7 years experience in ETF portfolio administration and product analysis. He is responsible for day to day management of back office, data analysis, on-line marketing, and HR compliance and administration.

 

Former Research Analyst at Emerging Global Advisors where he oversaw the incubation process and quality assurance of multiple multinational equity indices. Responsible for Portfolio Administration and Compliance involving oversight of fund holdings vs. indices. Provided timely actionable market data to the sales team. Before EGA, Tom was a corporate advertising executive responsible for developing global sales and marketing programs. Apart from Green Harvest, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids, and fine-tuning plans to sail around the world.

Robert Willins, CPA

Advisor to Green Harvest

Since 2008, Robert Willens has been the president of his own tax and accounting service.  Previously, he was a Managing Director in the Equity Research department at Lehman Brothers, Inc in New York for 20 years. Mr. Willens specializes in tax and accounting issues and in this capacity advised most areas of the firm regarding the optimal structures for corporate capital transactions and, in addition, has been instrumental in developing certain financial “products” with a view towards insuring that these products will provide clients with the desired tax and accounting results. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Willens was a tax partner in the New York office of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co, which eventually became KPMG.

 

Mr. Willens is a prolific author and has written Taxation of Corporate Capital Transactions as well as over 1,000 articles for various professional journals including The BNA, The Journal of Taxation, Tax Notes, The Journal of Accountancy, The Journal of Corporate Taxation and TAXES-The Tax Magazine. He is the author of the popular “Of Corporate Interest” column for Tax Notes.  Mr. Willens has served on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Taxation of Investments and The Journal of Accountancy, respectively. He is also a highly regarded lecturer on tax and accounting topics and has served on the faculty of The University of Miami School of Law’s Annual Institute on Mergers and Acquisitions, and The Practicing Law Institute.   He has spoken at seminars produced by Lehigh University, The Texas State Bar Association, Georgetown University School of Law, New York University and Arizona State University.

 

For 15 consecutive years, Robert was named to Institutional Investor’s “All-American” Research Team in the “Accounting & Tax Policy” category.  In the 2000 poll, Mr. Willens was cited as one of the 10 “most responsive” analysts on Wall Street and in the 2001 poll was recognized as one of the 10 leading analysts on Wall Street with respect to the attribute of “Industry Knowledge”.  In 2007, he was named one of the 10 leading analysts on Wall Street in the categories of “Written Reports” and “Investment Ideas”.   For a period of four consecutive years, Mr. Willens was named, by Accounting Today, as one of the 100 “Most Influential Accountants” in the United States.  For 5 years, Alpha Magazine, named Mr. Willens the leading Accounting and Tax Adviser to the Hedge Fund community.

 

Mr. Willens has served, since 1993, as an Adjunct Professor (Finance Department) at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business where he teaches the course entitled “Investment Banking Tax Factors.”  In 2008, Columbia named him Adjunct Professor of the Year.  He and his wife instituted the Robert & Jacqueline Willens Tax Research Project Award, which each year honors three of Columbia’s most distinguished tax students.  Mr. & Mrs. Willens also instituted The Willens Scholarship at Queens College.
