Green Harvest Asset Management was formed by a team of seasoned ETF experts who are passionate about providing clients with a strategy to best suit their investment needs.

Our team possesses broad and deep ETF expertise, including: index and product development, ETF strategy development, and trading, which makes us a unique asset management firm within the tax-loss harvesting space.

Robert Holderith is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Green Harvest Asset Management and is a 23-year veteran of the financial services industry.  Prior to forming Green Harvest AM, Bob was President and Founder of Emerging Global Advisors, LLC (EGA), the advisor to the EGShares family of ETFs. He was responsible for all aspects of the formation of the firm including research, portfolio management, product development, index conception and design, technology infrastructure and sales. Bob has been implementing, structuring and developing ETFs and related strategies since 1999.

Brian Jacobs, CIMA is the President of Green Harvest Asset Management and has over 30 years of experience in global asset management.  Brian is the former President of Direxion ETFs and the CEO of the Hatteras Alternative Funds. Previously, Brian led distribution organizations at Eaton Vance and Allianz/ PIMCO where his distribution teams raised over $200 billion in AUM. He started his career as a Financial Advisor in New York City.  Brian earned a B.A. in Economics from Montclair State University and completed the Allianz Global Leadership Program at the International Institute for Management Development (I.M.D.) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Brian also is an Adjunct Faculty member at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University where he teaches a graduate level class:  Disruption in Financial Services.

Jeff Conway, CFA, CAIA is the Chief Investment Officer of Green Harvest Asset Management and has over 25 years of financial services experience – spanning portfolio management, derivative structuring and trading –and is responsible for the overall investment strategy and portfolio management. Jeff was Head of Equity and Commodity Derivative Structuring for UBS in New York, where he was responsible for derivative trading strategies and structured product development.  Before UBS, he worked at Morgan Stanley in the Fixed Income Derivative Product Group.  Jeff holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a concentration in Financial Engineering, has a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire, and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Solomon Teller, CFA, is the Chief Investment Strategist and Senior Portfolio Manager of Green Harvest Asset Management and has 15 years of portfolio management, research and proprietary trading experience with ETFs. Solomon is the former Head of Investment Analytics at ProShares and was Senior Portfolio Manager and Financial Planning Manager at two independent asset managers. Early in is career, Solomon developed trading and portfolio management software for Fannie Mae. Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Philosophy from the University of Maryland and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Denise Gallo is the Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of Portfolio Operations of Green Harvest Asset Management and has 25 years of industry experience including 12 years in ETF portfolio management and trading operations. She is responsible for day-to-day management of separately managed accounts and has primary responsibility for operational and back office functions at GHAM.  Prior to joining GHAM in 2018, Denise was an Associate Portfolio Manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investment (CTI). She served as a portfolio construction subject matter expert for the ETF business. In 2016, CTI acquired Denise’s former firm, Emerging Global Advisors (EGA), which was a $1.9B emerging and frontier market ETF firm.

Maria Pappas is the Operations Specialist of Green Harvest Asset Management and has 20 years of industry experience. She assists with client and data management along with the daily operations of GHAM.  Maria started her financial career at The Boston Company as a Mutual Fund Accountant in 1992.  She worked her way through management to become an Assistant Vice President at State Street Corporation where she led a Mutual Fund Administration team and later became the Director of Training in the Mutual Fund Administration department.  Maria earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Thomas Holderith is the Senior Analyst of Green Harvest Asset Management and has more than ten years experience in ETF portfolio administration and product analysis. He is responsible for day to day management of data analysis, on-line marketing, and HR compliance and administration. Prior to Green Harvest, Tom was a Research Analyst at Emerging Global Advisors (EGA) where he oversaw the incubation process and quality assurance of multiple multinational equity indices. He was also responsible for Portfolio Administration and Compliance. Before EGA, Tom was a corporate advertising executive responsible for developing global sales and marketing programs.

Advisor to Green Harvest

Since 2008, Robert Willens has been the president of his own tax and accounting service.  Previously, he was a Managing Director in the Equity Research department at Lehman Brothers, Inc in New York for 20 years. Mr. Willens specializes in tax and accounting issues and in this capacity advised most areas of the firm regarding the optimal structures for corporate capital transactions and, in addition, has been instrumental in developing certain financial “products” with a view towards insuring that these products will provide clients with the desired tax and accounting results. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Willens was a tax partner in the New York office of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co, which eventually became KPMG.


Mr. Willens is a prolific author and has written Taxation of Corporate Capital Transactions as well as over 1,000 articles for various professional journals including The BNA, The Journal of Taxation, Tax Notes, The Journal of Accountancy, The Journal of Corporate Taxation and TAXES-The Tax Magazine. He is the author of the popular “Of Corporate Interest” column for Tax Notes.  Mr. Willens has served on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Taxation of Investments and The Journal of Accountancy, respectively. He is also a highly regarded lecturer on tax and accounting topics and has served on the faculty of The University of Miami School of Law’s Annual Institute on Mergers and Acquisitions, and The Practicing Law Institute.   He has spoken at seminars produced by Lehigh University, The Texas State Bar Association, Georgetown University School of Law, New York University and Arizona State University.


For 15 consecutive years, Robert was named to Institutional Investor’s “All-American” Research Team in the “Accounting & Tax Policy” category.  In the 2000 poll, Mr. Willens was cited as one of the 10 “most responsive” analysts on Wall Street and in the 2001 poll was recognized as one of the 10 leading analysts on Wall Street with respect to the attribute of “Industry Knowledge”.  In 2007, he was named one of the 10 leading analysts on Wall Street in the categories of “Written Reports” and “Investment Ideas”.   For a period of four consecutive years, Mr. Willens was named, by Accounting Today, as one of the 100 “Most Influential Accountants” in the United States.  For 5 years, Alpha Magazine, named Mr. Willens the leading Accounting and Tax Adviser to the Hedge Fund community.


Mr. Willens has served, since 1993, as an Adjunct Professor (Finance Department) at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business where he teaches the course entitled “Investment Banking Tax Factors.”  In 2008, Columbia named him Adjunct Professor of the Year.  He and his wife instituted the Robert & Jacqueline Willens Tax Research Project Award, which each year honors three of Columbia’s most distinguished tax students.  Mr. & Mrs. Willens also instituted The Willens Scholarship at Queens College.
